Choose the Right Size and Style for Your Stripper Shoes

Here are a few things to keep in mind while shopping for a pair of exotic dancer stripper shoes. For starters, how high of heels is acceptable? How long you've been pole dancing, how comfortable you are in heels, and the purpose for which you'll be wearing them (a pole dance class, a photoshoot, or a competition) are all factors to consider.

How to Pick the Perfect Pair of Exotic Dance Shoes

Buying a pair of stripper shoes requires several considerations, all of which are contextualized by your intended usage. You're not going to pull them around the room while kicking and screaming, are you? Perform you want to wear them for tricks and not do any floor work, as in, for a photo shoot?

Height of The Heel

If you've never worn heels before, I suggest beginning with a pair of 5 or 6-inch heel exotic dancing shoes and working your way up to 7 or 8-inch heels if that's your ultimate aim. The Exotic Pole community is now obsessed with 8-inch poles. Sizes 9 inches and larger are best reserved for professional photography.

Even though I've seen some professionals dance in them, I must caution you that you'll have to balance just as carefully as if you were wearing stilts. The most comfortable heel height is about 7 inches. When it comes to dancing, I find that they are the most convenient and lightweight, making them ideal for doing feats. Additionally, they provide the impression of longer, stronger legs when worn on stage.

Model Of Shoes

The next thing to do is pick on a shoe design. The variety of styles available now is almost limitless. First, let's talk about the two most common shoe kinds among pole dancers: clear platforms and stripper ankle boots. Both have their merits, so the decision boils down to individual preference.

Hundreds of different colors are available in lightweight, clear platform sandals, making it easy to complement any pole outfit or costume. Being sandals, they allow air to circulate about your feet, making them comfortable to wear for long periods. One thing to keep in mind is that the toe strap might feel tight across the front of the foot, particularly with the PVC finish, so larger front feet may need to go up a size. If the shoe is too snug around the toe, you may loosen it by stretching out the plastic toe strap.

Over the last five years, the popularity of ankle boots has skyrocketed with the popularity of the Russian Exotic style. The boots' primary benefit is that they safeguard the toes, making them perfect for Drop Splits, Heel Bangs, and Kips found in hardstyle routines.

In addition to being a stylish accessory, they may alleviate the strain placed on your ankles and the tops of your feet while doing activities like the Remi Sit or climbing. There's a chance that they'd improve your grip on the wall if you went with a patent finish. The problem with wearing boots for long periods is that they don't allow air to circulate, which may lead to overheating. Additionally, they have the potential to gradually cause toe crushing. It's recommended to buy a size bigger than you normally would in boots to allow for socks and foot swelling (due to heat).

Ankle straps on your pole shoes are a must if you intend on doing a lot of power spins, leg kicks, and inverted feats. They provide cushioning around the heel and reassurance that they won't slide about. If you're just going to be standing still and walking about, a pair of mules should be good. They're also great if your job requires you to be on your feet for long periods of time, such as while working in a club. If you're looking for a pair of mules but haven't been able to find any with straps, you may always purchase some high-quality removable ankle straps.

Avoid Wearing Slip-On Sandals If Your Performance Requires A Lot of Tricks

If you don't have something to keep your heels in place during power spins and inverted transitions, your shoes will likely fly off. If you want to wear sandals with the appearance of a slide-on, you may always purchase transparent straps to attach to your heels.

If you don't want your pole scratched, you shouldn't use metal studs or anything else abrasive.

You may wear a single buckled strap around your ankle, but if you want to avoid damaging the pole's finish and grip, you shouldn't choose gothic heels with a dozen large buckles and metal spikes across them. In the same vein, if you prefer floor work, you run the danger of harming yourself on the sharp metal.
